A few days ago, I received this email from a VMCC member in Scotland. I’m wondering if some of our more senior Dorset Section members might remember this bike and owner. If so, please do get in touch and I’ll pass on any information you have to David.
Two pictures of a 1923 Massey 350cc Tourer motorcycle were posted by the VMCC Stonehenge Section at the 2004 Bristol Classic Bike Show.
I have just acquired a 1927 550cc Massey and being such rare machines I was wondering/hoping you may be able to put me in contact with the then owner or indeed the current owner so that we can exchange information, etc.
Appreciate any help you could provide.
VMCC Central Scottish Section
I think it should be Henstridge, if so perhaps a committee member might like to let HQ know.
Also no link to the Dorset section on the website.
Finally the VMCC website has no events listed yet for 2018 just a message ” This section is not complete” With the money and staff available to them I think they really need to sort it out, they have been behind the curve for years.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
Thanks to all those involved in organising the events during the year and to those taking on the challenge for 2018. A great looking programe so on with the mantainance to make sure the bikes can keep up with the runs.
A special thanks to the web master for a fantastic web site probably the best in the VMCC.
I would like thank everyone for the help they have given the Committee this year and to all who organize the runs, and also to the girls who help, organize and run the raffle and Ray for doing a seamless handover of the Chairman’s job to me.
Also I would like to thank Rod & Carol and all their team for organizing the Christmas Run & Dinner run and ride and an excellent meal.
As everyone know this is the last one as it has been run for 28 years and we could not get anyone to take it on. Thank you.
Next years will be at Henstridge Golf & Leisure, lets look forward to another 28 years
