DESCRIPTION:New Year’s Day Run \nEntrants should gather on the pavement outside the Poet’s Corner Café at Sturminster Newton from about 9.30 for departure at 10.45. \nThe run\, of just over 36 miles\, is on country roads\, which following the recent wet spell are likely to be muddy. It will end at the Virginia Ash at Henstridge. The run is being organised to coincide with a classic car run and will be a charity run in support of the Somerset & Dorset Air Ambulance. A charity donation/entry fee of £5 will be requested from each rider and it is anticipated that the riders will receive in return a £5 voucher to be spent at Harts of Stur\, who are sponsoring the event. \nWe will not be organising a Section New Year’s lunch this year owing to the Covid situation. If members wish to have lunch at the Virginia Ash they should contact the ‘Ash’ directly. The number is 01963 363868.

DESCRIPTION:Now in its 42nd year\, our Veteran  & Vintage Run takes place on Sunday 26th September at 10:30am from Leigh Village Hall. \nAs in previous years\, Rod Hann is bound to come up with a very enjoyable route\, but please note\, the run is only for pre-1931 vehicles.  By all means come along to the start and watch\, but if you want to take part in the run\, you had better brush the cobwebs off your vintage or veteran bike. \nThe run is about 45 miles in length with a coffee stop en-route.  Coffee and tea is also being served at the start. To help with their planning would you please let me know by 12.00 on Friday 27th August if you would like a bacon or sausage bap before the start\, or when we return.   I have sampled these baps and can confirm they are excellent value at £2.95. DESCRIPTION:Please come and support our Annual Autojumble on Wednesday 11th August at Henstridge Golf Club \n\nSet up of stalls from 5.00 pm (wallpapering table\, boot of your car\, tarpaulin on the grass etc).\nAuto jumble starts at 6.00 pm\n\nTo welcome you all back\, the Dorset Section is sponsoring free food which is provide by Henstridge Golf and Leisure.  Sandra will offer a jacket potato with a choice of fillings (cheese\, baked beans\, bolognaise sauce etc).  To qualify \, you need to buy a drink at the bar and you will be given a ticket which can be exchanged for the food.  One per person please. \nWe would like to see as many people as possible taking part.  So get looking for all those rusty Whitworth spanners in the back of your shed – we all have them\, and someone always seems to buy them.  Bring anything you want to sell\, even Velocettes.   Finally\, also bring plenty of loose cash to pay for the items (we have no card facilities).
