DESCRIPTION:The Blandford Run takes place on Sunday 10th April and will commence as in recent years\, before covid caused disruption\, from the Corn Exchange in the Market Place at Blandford Forum. \nThe run starts at 11am and tea or coffee and biscuits will be available from approximately 10am within the shambles area of the Corn Exchange.\nDorset Council has recently introduced charges on Sundays for all car parks under their management\, including the Blandford Market Place. Arrangements have been made for the bikes to be parked without charge within the area defined by the bollards immediately in front of the Corn Exchange. \nThe outward route covers 44.9 miles to a lunch stop at the Witchampton and Critchel Club\, where a roast dinner will be available for those requiring food for £9.95; a room behind the bar has been allocated for our use. Please tell the run organiser at the start of the run if you would like lunch so that the Club can be informed of likely numbers. DESCRIPTION:New Year’s Day Run \nEntrants should gather on the pavement outside the Poet’s Corner Café at Sturminster Newton from about 9.30 for departure at 10.45. \nThe run\, of just over 36 miles\, is on country roads\, which following the recent wet spell are likely to be muddy. It will end at the Virginia Ash at Henstridge. The run is being organised to coincide with a classic car run and will be a charity run in support of the Somerset & Dorset Air Ambulance. A charity donation/entry fee of £5 will be requested from each rider and it is anticipated that the riders will receive in return a £5 voucher to be spent at Harts of Stur\, who are sponsoring the event. \nWe will not be organising a Section New Year’s lunch this year owing to the Covid situation. If members wish to have lunch at the Virginia Ash they should contact the ‘Ash’ directly. The number is 01963 363868.

DESCRIPTION:We will be holding our Annual General Meeting (AGM)\, our first in two years so please come along.  This is your chance to tell your Committee what we’re doing right and what needs improving\, anything goes really (too many runs\, too few runs\, too many emails\, etc etc).  It is also an opportunity for you to vote on the received nominations for next year’s Committee.  Even better\, please consider standing for one of the Committee positions\, we’d love to have new and/or younger members on the Committee (all positions are up for grabs!).  If being on the Committee is not for you\, how about organising a run instead?  We’ve identified a couple of runs in our proposed 2022 calendar that would make good runs for a newbie to organise and you’ll get plenty of help from our existing pool of run organisers.  We’d like your help!  Take a look at the Nomination form here…and then fill it in and return to secretary@dorsetvmcc.co.uk by the close of business on Monday 11th October.  (if you don’t like forms\, just email your nominations or offers of help) \n. \nIf you would like something added to the AGM Agenda\, please let me know by emailing  secretary@dorsetvmcc.co.uk by the close of business on Monday 11th October and indicate whether you’ll be there in person on the night.

SUMMARY:Veteran & Vintage Run
DESCRIPTION:Now in its 42nd year\, our Veteran  & Vintage Run takes place on Sunday 26th September at 10:30am from Leigh Village Hall. \nAs in previous years\, Rod Hann is bound to come up with a very enjoyable route\, but please note\, the run is only for pre-1931 vehicles.  By all means come along to the start and watch\, but if you want to take part in the run\, you had better brush the cobwebs off your vintage or veteran bike. \nThe run is about 45 miles in length with a coffee stop en-route.  Coffee and tea is also being served at the start.
