DESCRIPTION:Please come and support our Annual Autojumble on Wednesday 11th August at Henstridge Golf Club \n\nSet up of stalls from 5.00 pm (wallpapering table\, boot of your car\, tarpaulin on the grass etc).\nAuto jumble starts at 6.00 pm\n\nTo welcome you all back\, the Dorset Section is sponsoring free food which is provide by Henstridge Golf and Leisure.  Sandra will offer a jacket potato with a choice of fillings (cheese\, baked beans\, bolognaise sauce etc).  To qualify \, you need to buy a drink at the bar and you will be given a ticket which can be exchanged for the food.  One per person please. \nWe would like to see as many people as possible taking part.  So get looking for all those rusty Whitworth spanners in the back of your shed – we all have them\, and someone always seems to buy them.  Bring anything you want to sell\, even Velocettes.   Finally\, also bring plenty of loose cash to pay for the items (we have no card facilities).

SUMMARY:Chairman's Challenge Run
DESCRIPTION:Our Chairman would like you to join him for his fun summer challenge! \nUnlike a usual route sheet\, this is reliant on your ability to spot road signs and distances have been left deliberately vague so you’ll need to pay attention and not just follow the bike in front! \nNot overlong (less than 50 miles)\, it is ideal for riding two-up with a spotter on the pillion and perfect for lower-powered machines too. The run starts at Thorngrove Garden centre on Sunday 4th July\, at 11.00am and he’d be delighted if you would care to come along and take part.  Note\, pre-booking is not required but you will be asked to sign-on in the normal way (after reading and agreeing to the Rider and Ride Fact sheet)\, so get there by 10:30am).  There is no charge for this run. \nAs an extra incentive\, the overall distance was recorded on the bike used to test the route. If you make a note of your distance and it exactly matches his\, he will buy you a slice of cake! You’ll need to use either a route roller or a way of attaching the route sheet to your tank\, bring your own rubber bands or tape; trip meters and satnavs won’t help you here!

DESCRIPTION:Update 9th April : all places now taken. \nFor obvious reasons\, sadly we cannot hold Peter Miller’s traditional Blandford Run from the Corn Exchange this year as we’re limited by the “Rule of 6” restrictions. \nHowever\, we have organised an informal version of this run.  It will consist of 5 groups with 6 riders in each group. Each group will have a leader who is responsible for the route\, including the start and end points. The groups will not meet each other; they are independent from one another. \nThe five groups / start locations are below; it is expected the routes will be approx 45-55 miles in length.  And because this was meant to be the Blandford Run\, 3 of the groups will start from 3 different locations in Blandford. \n\nBlandford Forum (Phil Allen)\nBlandford Forum (Bernard Jones)\nBlandford Forum (Paul Wirdnam)\nHenstridge : Virginia Ash (Ray Dickinson)\nSparkford : Service Area on A303 (Andy Grew)\n\nAs in our previous informal runs held last year\, if you want to take part\, you must pre-book your place by 1) emailing the Secretary (secretary@dorsetvmcc.co.uk) and include your 1) VMCC membership number 2) preferred start location 3) backup start location and 4) phone number. With only 30 places\, book soon to avoid disappointment. There is no charge for this run.
