Photos from the Mince Pie Run 2023

:

Although wet at the start, the weather was better than expected and we had an enjoyable run. Thanks to Phil for organising and to Paul M for the coffees. Report from Phil below.

I was hoping no one would be daft enough to turn up today, but when l got to the start 8 hardy souls!! (7 bikes) were there and a few turned up to laugh l mean see us off.

So we were ready to go, but then the heavens opened up and our Chairman kindly suggested we adjourn to the nearest café for coffee, where the lights went out.

It then stopped raining (yes it really did) so off we went, Bryanston, Milton Abbas,  Bullbarrow and on to Compton Abbas Airfield for tea and sausage roll where we met our President with Ray & Linda.

When it was time to get off a few went home but myself Ken & Barry carried on and did the whole route,  Ashmore, Stubhampton, Tarrant Crawford and back to the start in Blandford. Unfortunately as soon as we left Compton Abbas it started to rain and god did it rain all the way back to the finish when it stopped raining, but started again when we got on the bikes to go home (well it is December!).

l think a very enjoyable day out even though l had to eat loads of mince pies and got wet.

Phil
