Another excellent event organised by Rod and Carol. The route to Yandles provided plenty a good views, with traffic pretty light – except for the Tesco delivery van speeding through a narrow lane which was a bit of a close shave. We were welcomed back to Leigh with a fantastic buffet which all enjoyed. Many thanks to Rod and Carol for all the work they put into our club, they really are a inspiration to us all. Report from Rod below.
The Jeff Clew Memorial run was held on Sunday 31st May, 2026, and started and finished at Leigh Village Hall. 27 riders (from seven different Sections) signed on to tackle the morning route of 31 miles which took them to Martock for a lunch stop at Yandles Cafe. Another return leg of 26 miles took everyone back to Leigh.
Tea and cakes were consumed by the 40 people present before the prizegiving took place. Our Section President and Alison Clew (Jeff’s daughter who had attended from Rugby) presented the prizes as listed below.
Luckily fine weather added to a very pleasant day enjoyed by all.
