Wessex V & V Section : On the Beaded Edge Run

The Dorset Section has no run planned for Sunday 26th of June so it is a good opportunity to join the Wessex Veteran & Vintage Section for its ‘On the Beaded Edge Run’, from the Shillingstone Station. If you have a pre-1931 bike bring it along and enjoy the ride. If not why not come along to see the bikes before departure and to wave them away. It is also a good opportunity to inspect the ongoing work to bring the station and track back into use.

Bikes will be arriving at the station from 10.00 for an 11.00 departure. The run is of approximately 42 miles and includes several steep hills so is unlikely to be suitable for veteran machines, unless the rider is prepared to provide LPA. A coffee stop is planned at the 17th Century Crown Inn at Alvediston. It is expected that the bikes will be returning to the station from about 12.30.
