Imber Run

This is a new idea to replace our usual New Year’s Day Run. We will visit the ‘Ghost Village’ of Imber which was taken over by the army for WW2 and never given back! It’s only open a few times a year for visits to the church etc.

Monday 29th December Imber Ghost Ride.  Riders assemble 10.00 for 11.00am start. at The George Inn Longbridge Deverill BA12 7DG approx 15 mile road ride to start of access onto Salisbury Plain. We ride the track down to Imber where we can park and look around. The church should be open where information and drinks are provided by the ladies of the parish. We return on the track back to the A360 to pick up the return route to the finish or make your own way home if you wish. We finish the ride at Lakeside Garden Centre Crockerton BA12 8AP where there is a cafe that’s open. The ride at this time of year is weather dependent so please check the website if in doubt.
