We were going to be early arriving at Lo’s, plenty of time to spare, until we got to Sturminster where the main road and the road into Stur were both closed. We therefore did an about turn and followed the diversion which took us to Henstridge, Shaftesbury to Blandford. We covered 55 miles just to get to the start! So no run for us although we spent a pleasant hour or so in the cafe talking to other ‘non combatants’.
So, I’m sure it was a good run, everyone seemed to enjoy it and the weather was much better than expected. Thanks to Phil for organising and to Ray for stepping in as official photographer. Phil’s report below.
We met at Lo’s Coffee Shop in Pimperne, 17 hardy souls signed on and 6 just came for Lo’s coffee
We were very lucky with the weather and at time we had sunshine, the route went to Shapwick and into the Tarrants, over to Farnham and onto Ashmore village, wandering our way to Bedchester and onto Child Okeford, Shillingstone and back to Lo’s in Pimperne for something to eat and drink, about 42 miles (enough for late December)
A nice morning out
Phil
Only 2 Tuesday meetings and Saturday breakfast this weekend before Christmas. If I don’t see you, have a good Christmas and I hope to see you again on the other side.
