Photos from Coast Run 2025

Another excellent day out on a new run to the coast. Weather could not have been better, the blue sea and sky could have been views of the Caribbean. Apart from a group, including an ex Chairman and ex Treasurer, ending up at the wrong cafe on Portland all went well.

Many thanks to Ray and Linda for organising the day and also to my understudy photographer, Paul W, for additional photos. Also even more photos from Ray and Mick one of our visitors from Andover.

Ray’s report on the day below.

A good day yesterday would have been so different if it had been raining!

Our experiment starting the run at 10.00 was well received, unfortunately 2 of our members turned up at 11.00 and were disappointed( Remember check the website – Andy).

Besides our regular members we had a party of riders from Andover who joined us. A pleasant scenic route to Abbotsbury then turning west crossing the causeway to Portland and challenging climb up to the Jailhouse Cafe. Wonderful views over the harbour. We returned back down the zig zags turning left for Portland Bill, where we had  lunch in glorious weather overlooking the sea.

We returned home via the causeway letting riders decide which was their best way home.

Our next event is our flagship Giants Run on the 24 & 25 May. The Giants Run on Sunday is fully subscribed but you can come along on a short run on Saturday starting at 5.15 from Spire Hill or you could go straight to Laycock Cider at Purse Caundle for pizza and cider.
