Photos from Young Ryans Express Run 2025

Unfortunately a lot of our regulars, myself included, were not able to attend Ryans run. I was a bit disappointed as although I have passed Winyards Gap many times I have never actually stopped there. Still maybe next year. Many thanks to Ryan for organising the run, this is greatly appreciated as he works full time, including standby, and has a young family – true dedication to our Section.

Ryan’s report below.

9 signed on for this mornings run and we  set off from a damp Sherborne and headed south, although it did try and drizzle a bit we did manage to dodge the showers and remain dry for the whole run. I heard at the end there were 2 breakdowns one I believe was fixed and made it to the end and unfortunately as far as I’m aware Rod and Carol didn’t make it, I hope they got home OK,  I apologise as I didn’t realise we had breakdowns until I got to Winyards Gap.

Thankyou to everyone who came along today and I hope that you all enjoyed the run and a new point to finish at.

Many thanks

Ryan

Remember that it is Club Night this Wednesday, 6.00 on Sherborne Abbey Lawns, Half Moon Street. A new event for this year which is a picnic and treasure hunt around Sherborne. Come along by any means as the optional treasure hunt is on foot.

It is then the Dorset Dakar on Saturday 10.30 at Compton Abbas Airfield. Weather looks fair so drag out that old Bantam and have a go or ride the parallel road route, it’s your choice!
