Report by Rod Hann on his Mid-Week Run held last Wednesday.   Sorry I wimped out soon after the start Rod, but from the top of the A37, Bridport looked in the middle of a rain storm — how wrong was I.  🙁

The June Mid Week Run took place on Wednesday 21st June and started from the Trading Post at Warden Hill. Dark clouds gathered at the start but soon cleared to leave a warm and sunny afternoon. The route took us via Sydling St Nicholas to Grimstone and through Hampton before travelling along the old Roman road to Eggardon Hill. The view from the top was as staggering as always. We next went through Uploders and Loders and on to Bradpole and Mangerton Mill. As usual tea/coffee and cakes were consumed.
The homeward journey went through West Milton and Powerstock before once again climbing Eggardon Hill from another direction. Onwards next through Wynford Eagle and Maiden Newton before returning to the Trading Post. The roads were narrow and gravelly in places but the scenery showed Dorset at its best.
