Many thanks to Phil Allen for organising this old favourite. His report of last Sunday’s run follows:
We had 27 sign on with some very nice bikes. We stared off at Hinton St Mary village hall with coffee/tea and biscuits kindly arranged by Mrs Hoare (Bob Hoare’s wife); Bob’s son, Nick, had organised a trophy in memory of his late father for the Rider’s Favourite Bike on the day.
The run was to the Horton Inn for a drink and food and then a route back to Hinton St Mary village hall for tea and cakes.
We had a presentation of the trophy and, believe it or not, Andrew Rae won this for his well used MZ; we think he must have bribed everyone to win!!!!
A good day, good weather considering the last few days and l think everyone enjoyed the varied route.
Nice to see Gaby out on a bike again
The number signing on was very good considering all the other events taking place on the weekend.
