Photos from the August Run 2026

The feature photo above is a totally gratuitous shot of a very nice Moto Morini 500 at the show, not on our run but could be in the future.

Luckily the weather man got the forecast wrong, and although most of us got wet on the way to The Virginia Ash, the rest of the day was dry.

About 30 of us gathered for a coffee at The Ash so thanks to all for coming along and making it worthwhile for the pub to open. Several new faces and also some we haven’t seen for a while. Good to see Gabby getting out again and also to see Jeanette after several years. There were also a few new bikes making their first outing along with the old faithfulls.

So 19 bikes went off on a nice gentle ride of 30 miles to Shaftesbury keeping to more major roads with a couple of smaller lanes thrown in for good measure.

We were ushered into the show ground and parked up next to our club Gazebo, manned by Andrew and Bob. Unfortunately the bad weather forecast had put off lot exhibitors, there were only 2 other bikes apart from ours and the cars were also very scaled down. Some went off into town in search of a better quality lunch while the rest of us made do with a dodgy burger on the show ground.

Thanks to Nigel for additional photos and to Paul for the video

Next Saturday is Bernard’s East Run, starting from Cranborne Garden Centre at 10.00. This year the route has been shortened from the usual 100 miles to about 60, due to popular demand.
