Excellent day out, perfect weather, great route and enjoyable lunch what could be better? Thankyou to Phil for organising the day, lets hope that we can return to the Corn Exchange next year, building works permitting, as this is our traditional start. Phil’s report below.
What a beautiful day for a motorcycle ride, sun shining and no rain in sight.
The run started at Lo’s Cafe in Pimperne which seems to host quite a few of our runs, l booked for 15 people but we had nearly 30 at the start.
23 bikes signed on and 4 passengers.
The run went from Pimperne through Blandford town center (well it is the Blandford Run) onto Winterborne Stickland, through Bovington, Wool and to the East Creech Tea Rooms which was very busy, sun brings everyone out.
Return route back to Lo’s Cafe was via Worgret Heath, Winterborne Kingston, Winterborne Klenston and back through Blandford town center and to Lo’s for more tea and cake, or a beer for some (was that a certain Vincent rider of our aquaintance? ) .
Mainly B roads so no grass in the middle to worry about and dry roads for a change.
A varied selection of bikes from early Ariels to some more modern machinery.
