Weatherwise, this was almost a repeat of last year’s Hot X Bun Run but at least this year, there was no flooding and the run went ahead as planned with 12 people signing-on and 5 of those making it to coffee stop at Aunt Fanny’s Café near Wimborne.
But over the last couple of years, this event has morphed into a bit of a social gathering, and in that respect, we had about 30 people turn up and munch through 36 hot cross buns and numerous cups of tea and coffee.
I want to thank everyone who came! Thanks to your generous donations, we managed to raise £95 for Section funds, and hopefully this will go towards our next donation to Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance.
And a big thank you to the Kitchen Crew : Philippa & Rachel (the bun ladies) and Robbie & Anna. I’m a master at hoovering…. 🙂
Our next run is this Saturday 26th April; let’s help Ken find those bluebells…
