Photos from The Border Run 2024

Looked like a very pleasant run, I assume the tankard was awarded for something, or maybe it was just for the Chairman’s ‘Snakebite’. Thanks to Paul for organising the event and for photos. Also thanks to Lee & Mandy for the ‘on the move’ snaps. Pauls report below.

An excellent turnout for this year’s Border run, including several new riders, with 26 bikes signing on for a 45 mile cross-country jaunt in brilliant weather. Starting from Shaftesbury, the route took them approximately east, turning south through Wilton and then back along the A30, finishing at Ansty farm. The optional breather at Heale garden must be the grandest ever entrance for a tea stop and your correspondent noted that everyone seemed keen for a break! The chairman and treasurer were amongst the vanguard arriving at Ansty and enjoyed yet more cake and coffee. Thank you for supporting Dorset section, we hope you all had a pleasant and safe experience, let’s do it all again next weekend with the tiddler (and their larger friends!) run.
