This months club lunch was held at The Royal Oak, Swallowcliffe, which is just off the A30 near Fovant. A traditional pub set in a very nice village, that I’ve never been to before. We had 14 booked for lunch and 5 even turned up on bikes as it was, that rare thing, a dry day.
We were booked in for 12.00 and the food arrived very promptly and was excellent quality. A very pleasant lunch thanks to Howard for organising it and to Liz for taking some photos.
Our next lunch will be at The Hunters Lodge, Wincanton, BA9 8LD a place our section used regularly in the past but which we haven’t been to for a long time. I have heard positive reports from a couple of sources so think the food will be good. It is also more reasonably priced with a 2 course seniors meal at £14.45. I have, however, had to change the date as the published date clashes with The Charterhouse Auction at Haynes which a lot of us attend.
The new date is therefore Wednesday 18 March at 12.00 , hope to see you there.
