After a week of rain we had dry roads and by 11.00am the fog had lifted when we observed the two minutes silence for Remembrance Day. Ten riders with two passengers signed on. Unfortunately we lost one man, his clutch failed after the first five miles. The rest of us followed the route which went east through Hindon. Then on through to the deer park past the lake at Fonthill Bishop.  On to Dinton through Fovent  before turning to join the A30 for coffee at The Stalls. The return route took us through the Wyle valley back onto the A30 turning at Ludwell through to Ashmore and down to Shaftesbury making our way to the Old Brewery, Gillingham via Motcombe where eight of us sat down for lunch.  We are very fortunate to live in an area with so many magnificent views which was added to by the colours of Autumn.

We would like to thank our members for the most generous donations which raised £101.00 which is going to MacMillan Cancer Support in memory of our club members whom we lost recently.

On Sunday eight of us attended the Remembrance Day ceremony at the Bovington Museum. It was a very moving experience to see all the young soldiers in uniform and showing respect. The service was accompanied by the Military Wives Choir. Which added to the event.

Thank you for your support Ray & Linda Dickinson.
