Photos from the Mince Pie Run 2024

Fortunately our Mince Pie Run was a lot drier than last year and so mild I felt a bit warm having ‘thermalled up’ . Lots of very large puddles and a couple of nervous horses added to the challenge.

It was then home to clean our very mucky bikes, except Andrew, of course, who never cleans his!

Thanks to Phil for the mince pies and a very enjoyable day out, his report below.

” l have to say l was quite surprised to see people at the start  considering the weather at 9am, anyway 12 hardy bikers signed on and after the traditional mince pie it was off to some obscure Dorset roads. From Blandford through Langton Long to Shapwick back towards Blandford and right into the Tarrants where we encountered a bit of flooding but nothing we couldn’t handle, on to Chettle, Farnham and Six Penny Handley (lovely little village) to Ashmore, Bedchester and to Chilld Okeford, Shillingstone and on to Lo’s Caffee in Pimperne for a drink and food. 40 miles, a bit of flooding but a good day out. It did stop raining around 11.30am with just the odd shower. Thanks to Paul and Paul for taking photos”.
