Although it was cloudy it was good to have dry roads for a change,. Thanks to Ray and Linda for organising a very pleasant run.
What did you think of our idea to charge more entrance fee but to include a free drink? Comments please to any committee member.
Ray’s report below.
We had a cold but dry 45 mile ride around North Dorset. A mixture of faster A roads and interesting country lanes, with fantastic views over the vale, and plenty of autumn colours.
We had 14 riders sign on with 3 pillions. No breakdowns occurred apart from Bernard having an electrical fault at the start which he managed to sort out using metric spanners on his Vincent – which has imperial bolts!
Most riders made the coffee stop at Maiden Bradley who were thrilled to see us and expressed a wish for us to return at any time. The Old Brewery provided tea & coffee for the start and it was good to have Marie our president turning up to see us off. We returned to The Old Brewery for our lunch.
Hope everyone made it home safely, many thanks for your support. Ray & Linda
