Thanks to Peter & Richard Miller for a very enjoyable & interesting run, on roads we seldom use. On Friday we learnt that Peter had been taken into hospital and rather than cancel the run, with help from Paul Wirdnam who arranged all the paperwork, I agreed to oversee signing on while Linda & Andrew Rae organised refreshments. Peter had already organised the opening of the Corn Exchange for signing on.
After a week of rain every day, Sunday turned out to be dry although still cold with wet and gravel roads. 19 riders signed on for the ride. The mid morning coffee at The Crown, Alvediston was great with a lovely log fire, we then continued the 45 miles to Witchampton Club for lunch, where there was a wonderful carvery or sandwiches available. After lunch everyone decided to make their own way home, after a very enjoyable day.
