Report from Shaftesbury Library 2025

Although not a committee member ( we”ll get him one day) Andrew R does lots of great work for our section, this is another example of him raising the profile of the VMCC.

The picture shows Ray, in all his sartorial elegance, modelling our new event tabard – very stylish! The bike is Andrew’s Simpson 50cc looking worryingly clean, I suspect he may have found some polish in some dark recess of the garage.

Thanks to Andrew and Ray and the other members who turned up to lend support, Andrew’s report below.

Firstly to all my fellow section members SORRY my email address was hacked please delete anything asking for money, hopefully back under my control now.

If I can get this to work there should be some photos of our little promotional event at Shaftesbury Library yesterday 1st Feb as part of their hobbies month. Basically invited to come along by Frances at the library for mutual benefit. So Chairman Ray and myself brought along an assortment of our machines and with the aid of other section members from 11am till 12 am stood around and chatted about our hobby and how useful the VMCC was, actually we nearly overran closing time at 1pm. We just may have encouraged a few folk to come along to see what we do and consider joining us. For anyone who has nothing to do there may well be a lot og chat on Alfred Radio.

                                         All the Very Best,

                                                                       Andrew R

Remember next Sunday 9 February is my Valentines Run from Teals Farmshop at South Cadbury, good weather is assured and an easy 40 mile run takes us back to The Virginia Ash. See you then.
